TEMPI’S LAMELESS

Tempi is a young English thoroughbred from a racing stable. He has suffered an injury to his left front leg and has also undergone an operation which has left him with intermittent lameness. We wanted to shorten these periods so that he could get back into his normal rhythm as soon as possible. The soft laser device was a great help!

WHEN HORSES CATCH COLD …

With the approach of cold weather, horses also catch cold more easily and the constant runny nose is unpleasant for them too.

It is also not very aesthetically pleasing. In addition to traditional herbal treatments, we have been using laser therapy for some time with excellent results.

SHOULD I HAVE SURGERY FOR TENDONITIS?

One of my horses had a very large swelling on the right front leg. He was limping badly and could not be worked at all. We called the vet, who x-rayed him and gave us the bad news. Eli has tendonitis, and the kind that is unlikely to fully recover after a very long period of rest and medication. Surgery was recommended, which was eventually avoided thanks to regular laser treatments.

SAFE LASER TREATMENT FOR SALLENDERS AND MALANDERS

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to avoid our horses standing on dry, mud and water free ground, especially in winter. Nowadays it is often not cold enough to freeze the ground, which is also not optimal, but perhaps slightly better than standing in wet mud. It is understandable that horses do not like such conditions and standing on wet and muddy ground can cause them to develop sallenders and malanders. We usually treat them with ointment, but this time we put a laser on them straight away before we started creaming them. The result: after a few days of treatment, they are healing nicely, drying up, and we have not even started creaming.

HEALING KESZI’S ORAL WOUNDS WITH SAFE LASER

Our riding stable has been using the laser routinely, and the results are already visible to the outside world: the vet has commented that the horses are in very good condition…

Keszi is a 16-year-old mare. One day, bloody discharge started to come out of her mouth. We looked to see what was causing it and found a bloody wound above her teeth, just below her lip. We did not know if she had been bitten or injured by something, and as the doctor couldn’t come out at the time, we started to laser this too. In a few days the results were spectacular, the wound healed in a short time and has been completely fine ever since. You can find pictures of it on our FB page.
